What People are Saying
Dance Fever Academy believes in teaching more than dance.Through performing arts education we teach life values that will build happy, healthy, confident and successful kids. At Dance Fever Academy you will find a variety of dance classes taught by experienced and passionate instructors.
The dress Code applies only to kids classes.
Dance Classes Dress Code
At Dance Fever Academy, we believe dance attire should be appropriate for each class. NO street shoes on the dance floor please. If a child forgets to bring dance shoes they can attend the class wearing socks.
Dance Dress Code
Dance Fever Academy requires a dress code for all classes. Outlined below, you will find dancewear requirements for all classes.
To foster a sense of unity and identity, most dancewear must be purchased at the studio (we do not carry shoes). The fee for practice wear will vary between $25- $45 depending on the class. The Dancewear Fee will be applied after the registration.
Please make sure your child is wearing the dance attire in every class.
For Summer & Six Week Sessions: The dress code is not required during summer or our 6 Week Mini Sessions. Dancers may wear comfortable clothing easy to move around in with ballet shoes, socks or clean gym shoes.
We ask that dance students wear dance attire in class. Through dance education, DFA is helping you raise happy, healthy, responsible, and successful kids!
Why Dress Code?
Looking & Feeling Like a Pro: Dancewear changes your child from a student to a dancer, helps them to dance comfortably, allows them to focus on technique, and express themselves on the dance floor.
Creates Identity: DFA strives to foster visual unity and identity in our classes which gives a sense of belonging to our dancers.
Improving Discipline, Responsibility, and Focus: The proper dance attire plays an important part in enhancing discipline, responsibility, and focus during dance lessons. By creating a professional atmosphere, dress code helps every dancer make the most out of their dance education while teaching them responsibility by having them prepare for every class.
Ways For Parents To Help
Teach your child self-reliance in preparation for the class.
Create a checklist of what they should pack in their dance bag and encourage them to check this list before every class.
Encourage your child to take pride in their appearance as a dancer and looking like a pro.

Safety: The safety of all of our students at DFA is very important to us. Please make sure a parent or guardian is present at the end of every class to pick up your student. Your child is unsupervised and we cannot be responsible for them after their class has ended. Transition periods between classes can be very hectic and we want to make sure every student is safe and taken care of.
