Dance Fever Academy Dance Shows are one of the most exciting events of the year!
All students have the opportunity to perform in both – Christmas & Summer Showcases!
Our Recitals are highly anticipated by every dancer and their families. It’s when the lessons our students learned throughout this season come to life on the dance floor. All dancers in beautiful costumes will have the opportunity to perform in front of a big audience, so your child’s participation is highly encouraged and recommended. This is an opportunity for every dancer and every group to shine on the floor and make lifelong memories. It is a family event so inviting family members and friends is welcome.
These are ticketed events. Anyone occupying a seat will have to purchase a ticket. There is an additional participation fee per student.
Showcases are optional and not a requirement for students to participate, however highly encouraged!

How long does it take?
The average time is about 2 – 3 months. However, we will work with the time that you have. We recommend meeting once a week.
What is the cost?
One 45 minute session costs $85.
What if we don’t have a song selected yet, can we still start taking lessons?
Do you teach other members of the bridal party to dance? Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance?
Yes, we do!
What should I wear for a class?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing so that you can move easily during the class. If the bride has wedding shoes, we recommend bringing them for practice. If the bride does not have shoes but plans to wear heels to the wedding, bring heels, preferably with straps, for practice. We recommend avoiding shoes with large platforms or thick soles. For the groom, we recommend choosing elegant shoes with smooth soles or flexible sneakers with minimal rubber soles (the thinner the sneaker sole, the better). We will talk more about shoes and wedding dresses in the first class.
How do I start ?
Don’t wait until the last minute!
Remember that your schedule will only get more hectic as the wedding day approaches. We recommend starting 3 to 4 months before the wedding to allow time for you to become truly comfortable with your dancing, however we will work with whatever time you have.
It’s okay if you haven’t chosen a song
We can help make suggestions based on which dance you like most or feel you do best. There is plenty to learn about dancing – how to move yourself, with music, and with a partner – so no matter what you start learning it is sure to benefit your first dance once chosen.
Be patient when learning
Let’s face it: we don’t quite learn as fast as adults as we did when we were kids! That said, dancing is a great stress reliever and a fun date night, so enjoy the process and cherish the time together! We will make you feel comfortable and we will make sure you are having fun!
Avoid trying to teach your fiancé
You hired us for a reason! You’ll both have a lot more fun dancing if you let your instructor do the teaching, as hard as that may be from time to time!
Practice in the right shoes
Wear shoes to your lessons that are similar to the ones you’ll be wearing on the big day. If you are practicing in flats it will be much harder to dance it in your heals on your wedding.
Be consistent with your lessons
The more often you come in, the more you’ll remember from lesson to lesson. Most of our couples feel best when they are able to schedule at least one class per week.
