Hi, I’m Jola Jurewicz, the owner of Dance Fever Academy, wife of Jakub and a mom of Maya & Max.
Since I can remember, the dance floor was always my favorite place to be and my safest place to fall. From the moment I started dancing, I absolutely fell in love with it! Soon I discovered my biggest passion, my calling and my greatest joy – teaching dance.
Years ago, I came across an insightful piece of advice: to find your passion in life, revisit the activities that brought you the most joy as a child. As I started reflecting, I was struck by a profound realization. My two favorite games stood out vividly. First, I loved playing ‘school,’ where I would play the role of a teacher. Second, I enjoyed being a dance instructor, teaching my friends how to dance even though I wasn’t taking any dance classes yet!. How could I teach others without any training? To this day, the mystery remains unsolved, but my friends kept returning for my “lessons,” finding value in them somehow.
I always saw dance as something more than just steps.
As I started my dance training in my late teens, I began to see how the classes were changing me. Over the years, a once timid and shy girl became a confident young woman capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to.
When I started teaching dance to young kids, I found my MISSION in life.
I realized that I could teach them more than just dancing. I wanted to share all the lessons I had learned in my own dance journey. My goal now is to plant the seeds of self-discipline, patience, perseverance and confidence (just to name a few!). These are the traits that shape a child’s character and make them successful in anything they choose to do – long after their dance education is over. It’s when I decided to teach dance differently.
Each month in our programs we focus on specific values and we implement them through various activities and games teaching children confidence, self-reliance, goal setting, excellence, good manners but also we want to teach them how to deal with disappointments because both success and failure are inevitable parts of life.
This is what sets DFA apart from any other studio.

What dance classes do you offer?
We offer: Latin Dance Classes, Acro, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet Classes, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap/Ballet, Pre-Ballet, and Parent/Tot classes. Please view our schedule to see all available dance classes.
Do you have dance classes for boys?
Yes! Boys can enroll in any of our dance classes!
Which dance class is best for my child?
It’s best to follow the interests of your child. If you are not sure what it is, Dance Fever Academy (DFA) offers a trial program where you can try a class. Pick one or many dance classes and/or dance styles and fall in love with dancing.
Do you have a Competitive Dance Team?
Will my child need special dance attire or shoes?
To foster a sense of unity and identity, most dancewear must be purchased at the studio.
If your child is part of our Christmas or/and Summer Dance Shows, they will have to buy dance costumes as well.
Will my child be a part of dance shows even if he is a beginner?
Every child can perform in both our Christmas and Summer Shows. Even though most students participate in two shows, they are optional and not a requirement for students.
Will I be able to watch my child in class?
DFA has a Closed Door Policy for all classes to ensure the safety and privacy of all our dancers. This means once the class begins the doors will be closed to minimize distractions and maintain focus of our students. Dance Fever Academy (DFA) will offer 2 observation days during the school year where you will be able to observe the class.
How can I enroll for a dance class?

What is the cost of dance classes?
Are there any other fees?
There is a yearly registration fee for dancers who are enrolled in our School Year Session.
Our Summer Session does not have a membership fee.
Do you have makeup classes?
Yes. You have the option to make-up up to 4 absences during the school year in an existing class at the same level or below. Make-ups can be scheduled at our front desk. It must be used within the current dance session. Makeup cut-off date is March 30th due to learning of Showcase dances. Tuition is not refunded or credited for any missed classes or vacation. For all closures due to inclement weather, makeup is allowed in any group class.
We are getting married. Can you teach us to dance?
Definitely! We will help you with the choreography, moves, and confidence! Learn more about wedding classes here!
How long does it take to learn a wedding dance?
The average time to learn the wedding dance is about 2 - 3 months. However, we will work with the time that you have. We recommend meeting once a week.
